This event will support three Ride to Conquer Cancer for the FMC Foundation participants who together aim to raise over $7,500 to take part in the 200km bike ride later this year and another cancer challenge next year. Some of Adelaideʼs best young musicians will come together for the Gig to Conquer Cancer to support the riders and the cause which will fund the work of the Flinders Centre for Innovation in Cancer – Adelaideʼs first cancer centre that integrates patient care, survivorship services, clinical trials and cancer research with a focus on prevention. The Gig To Conquer Cancer will be headlined by At Sunset, the recent national support of Reece Mastinʼs 2013 Australian tour. With over 4 million youtube views and nearly 100,000 social media fans, the screaming reactions this band elicit around the country from fans is enviable. Also performing for the event is former lead singer of the Sundance Kids, Ash Gale, who is taking a break from recording and mixing his debut EP with the help of UK producer Adam Noble (Coldplay, Paul McCartney). And rounding out the bill are Something To Rescue, coming off the back of their sold out EP launch, the band recently had the auspicious honour of having their fans petition Dolly Magazine for a feature on the band (and they got it!).
