Steel Panther to infect Australia on the 'Spreading The Disease' (S.T.D.) tour - with Buckcherry!!

The Sunset Strip’s hottest exports, STEEL PANTHER, are infecting Australia this Summer on their Spreading The Disease (S.T.D.) Tour. “WALKABOUT? Don't you mean ROCKABOUT! December is a time of giving.....and taking. This December, we in Steel Panther are planning on giving Australians the gift of our super bitchin songs in our super bitchin new spandex! We are also planning on taking a bunch of your super bitchin ladies backstage after these extra bitchin shows! So, join us, with our awesome friends Buckcherry, this December, as we go on a rockabout through your bush.........down under!!!,”

STEEL PANTHER was, for a long time, rock’s best-kept secret: a cult legend on the LA scene. But in recent years due to the success of their albums and live shows, the band has enjoyed huge acclaim from fans and peers alike. STEEL PANTHER has been joined on stage by rock and roll icons such as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Paul Stanley of KISS, Corey Taylor of Slipknot, Tom Morello of Rage Against The Machine, Chester Bennington of Linkin Park and Green Day to name a few (who knows who will join the lads on stage during their Australian visit!).

STEEL PANTHER has been in the studio lately working with Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Stone Sour, Meatloaf) on their third full-length album.  The album is the follow up to the band’s critically acclaimed 2011 release, Balls Out.

Fellow L.A. rockers BUCKCHERRY will also appear on all shows.  BUCKCHERRY have sold 3 million albums globally on the strength of a killer live set, and multiple hits including 'Crazy Bitch', 'Lit Up', and 'Sorry'.  Their critically acclaimed new album "Confessions" hit stores in 2013 and as expected it’s another orgy of sweat, swagger and sordid behavior…it bites hard and then leaves you gagging for more.” – Metal Forces Magazine. BUCKCHERRY will also be releasing a Best Of compilation later this year.

Not many bands can continually lay claim to constantly selling out shows whenever they tour Australia but STEEL PANTHER proudly sit amongst that elite group. Tickets go on sale Friday 27 September, 9am local. Having recently won Live Act Of The Year in the 2012 Loudwire Music Awards beating out the likes of Iron Maiden, Metallica and Tool amongst others tickets will be snapped up quick …you have been warned!

Steel Panther has teamed up with On The List to provide a variety of VIP ticket packages for the tour including dancing on stage, early entrance, meet and greets, photo ops, parties and more.  For more information go to www.SteelPantherRocks.com.

“Limp Bizkit are pure, unabashed, shameless, ludicrous fun. Their appeal is big, fat, fuck-off riffs and songs that earn word-for-word singalongs at every single gig. And that’s why it’s brilliant.” – Metal Hammer

Grammy Award winning, multi-platinum, ARIA #1 superstar - BRUNO MARS - has expanded his Moonshine Jungle Australian Tour to include an Adelaide show!
Announced this week as performing at the coveted Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show this February, Bruno Mars - with special guest Miguel - will head to Adelaide Entertainment Centre for ONE SHOW ONLY on Sunday March 2.

Mars and his full band will unleash such blockbuster hits as ‘Locked Out of Heaven’, ‘When I Was Your Man’, plus #1 hits ‘Just The Way You Are’ and ‘Grenade’ in his biggest ever Aussie shows.

Tickets for this only Adelaide show will go sale at midday Tuesday September 24 through www.ticketek.com.au.

My Live Nation members can access tickets first during the exclusive pre-sale beginning midday this Tuesday, September 17. Head to www.livenation.com.au.

Bruno Mars dropped his debut album ‘Doo-Wops & Hooligans’ (Warner Music) in 2010. Featuring smash hits ‘Just The Way You Are’, ‘The Lazy Song’, ‘Grenade’, ‘Marry You’ and ‘Count On Me’, the album received massive commercial and critical success, reaching sales of four-times platinum in Australia and more than 39-times platinum worldwide.

Spearheaded by the chart-topping multi-platinum ‘Locked Out of Heaven’ and home to Top 10 smash ‘When I Was Your Man’, Hawaiian-born Mars delivered his eagerly awaited sophomore album ‘Unorthodox Jukebox’ (Warner Music) last December. A phenomenal hit around the world, the multi-platinum album spent three consecutive weeks at #1 and to date has spent 39 weeks in the chart, adding to worldwide sales of more than eight million albums and 58 million singles.

MIGUEL hit the mainstream in 2010 with the infectious first single ‘All I Want Is You’, from his major label debut album of the same name, a song which blended a stark hip-hop beat with Miguel’s creamy vocals to form a sound that was absent from the radio and established Miguel as one of the most unique and soulful voices in modern R&B.

Nominated for five Grammy Awards in 2013, lead single ‘Adorn’ garnered his first Grammy Award win for Best R&B Song and resided #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hip Airplay chart for more than 23 weeks, becoming the longest running #1 in the history of the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hip Airplay chart.

Melvins and Helmet to hit The Gov in December!!

9/5/2013

Sludge heroes Melvins have two excellent decisions for their first ever Australian tour. First off, theyʼve gone and selected Helmet to join them all around the country. And secondly, theyʼve chosen The Gov as their venue, on Monday, December 16.

Celebrating their 30-year anniversary, Melvins have released a veritable ʻshitloadʼ (their words) of albums over the past 30 years, the most recent being a covers collection called Everybody Loves Sausages. Meanwhile, Helmet, fronted by Page Hamilton, have been playing their own brand of heavy music around since 1989, putting their offbeat time signatures and dense chords to tape and releasing 7 studio albums and touring the world constantly.

“The first Melvins/Helmet tour was in 1991 or '92; the 4 Helmet guys and 3 Melvins guys piled in one van with 2 bands worth of gear and braved massive snowstorms and overnight drives. Needless to say we are looking forward to our Australian tour with our long-time friends minus the overnight drives, blizzards and floor surfing.” – Page Hamilton

This December, prepare to have your ear-holes pummeled as two legendary bands land on our stage.

Adelaide LANEWAY Date and Venue Announced

9/3/2013

Picture
Ahead of its inaugural foray into North America next week, Laneway Festival is excited to unveil its 2014 dates for Australasia, as well as details of some notable changes to some of the festival venues.

In this, the 11th year of the event, Australasia's most forward-thinking festival will again be defined by its one-of-a-kind locations, a line-up featuring tomorrow's superstars alongside the best of the underground, and an array of small yet important creative initiatives selected to give you the best day possible.

The mega-lineup will be announced on 24th September 2013. Stay tuned.

ADELAIDE: FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY - HARTS MILL, PORT ADELAIDE

The event makes a fresh start in a new home at the historic site of Harts Mill, Port Adelaide. With ample space, the festival sits on the absolute waterfront of the Port River and will draw comparisons to the spectacular Melbourne site, renowned for its industrial-meets-lush green locale. Festival promoter Danny Rogers says, “We searched super hard to find a site that we felt could match the experience that other cities have had with Laneway. Renewal SA, the City of Port Adelaide Enfield and a team of locals have worked with us to find a site that ticks all the boxes.” People of Adelaide, you spoke up and we listened.
